Details & Itinerary

Embark from your hotel and venture outside of Seoul’s borders. Note how the landscape changes as we pass the southern border mountain of Gwanaksan.

We start with a pot of Kimchi Jjigae (Pork & Kimchi Stew) that was one of the top five finalists in South Korea’s national Kimchi Jjigae competition.

Then walk off breakfast with a stroll through the active non-touristy open-air central market. See how they make sesame oil, gochugaru, and noodles. Nosh on the original market-style Korean Fried Chicken and street food.

Anyang Central Market

Off we go to one of Korea’s signature quirky art parks. It’s a nature trail filled with exotic sculptures that are popular in music videos.

Lunch launches at the base of Gwanaksan Mountain at a country inn that caters to hikers. We gorge on rustic Boribap (like Bibimbap but more country), fluffy and crispy Haemuljeon (Green Onion & Seafood Pancake), and Smoked Chicken that tastes like bacon!

Rustic country restaurant nestled in the mountains

If you’re feeling up for it, we can take a small hike up the lush mountain trail.

Guardians and cairns stand along the mountain trail

As the day wanes, we stroll through downtown Anyang, which always has something fun and exciting. Our stroll ends up at a secluded rooftop garden for some scrumptious Korean BBQ.

Dine under the stars at a rooftop Korean BBQ restaurant

After we’ve had our fill, the driver will take us to a secret spot atop a mountain with a breathtaking view. While sitting on the rocks, we’ll break open some of the finest craft Korean liquor and beers while toasting the end of a truly amazing adventure.
