A Walk Among the Graves
Korea’s Folklore of Funerals, Tombs, and the Afterlife

Most travelers never step into Korea’s mountain cemeteries. Yet these quiet hillsides hold the stories of families, ancestors, and traditions that stretch back centuries. A Walk Among the Graves is a respectful 4-hour small-group hike through a vast, active cemetery, led by an expert guide.

Available only in Spring and Fall, this experience reveals Korea’s unique funeral folklore, burial customs, and afterlife beliefs.

Why Join This Experience

Respectful Cultural Exploration

Walk through an active mountain cemetery rarely visited by tourists. Learn why tombs are built the way they are, how geomancy (pungsu-jiri) shapes location, and how ancestral rites still guide daily life.

Folklore and Afterlife Traditions

Hear stories about souls, guardians, and Korean beliefs about the afterlife. Explore how Confucian customs evolved into modern practices.

Small Group Experience

With a maximum of 6 guests per session, this is an intimate experience where you’ll have time to ask questions and connect with your guide.

Off-the-Beaten-Path Korea

This is not a theme park attraction. It’s authentic cultural immersion—no fake villages, no staged photo ops. Just the real history and living traditions.
