Kimchi in the White House…?

Hey, I know the Korean blogosphere was going nuts over President-elect Obama saying, “Annyeong haseyo” to a Korean supporter. But I’m more impressed that he expressed a liking of bulgogi and kimchi when he talked to President Lee Myung-bak on Friday.

Well, he’s from Hawaii. From what I understand, people from Hawaii have had more exposure to Korean food than the rest of American culture. It tickles me when I see white people who have moved in from Hawaii expressing their agonizing craving for good kimchi.

Yeah, I have to say that I’m not surprised, a lot of plate lunches have bulgogi and kimchi.
