Nasty Chicken Tortillas

You know, I start getting hope for the internationalization of Korean cuisine with its slow embrace of Mexican food. I didn’t realize how much I loved Mexican and Tex-Mex food until I left America. So I was happy to find a product called Chicken Tortilla at a convenience store.

I bought one and heated it in the microwave.

Took one bite.

UGH!

Ketchup! And crunchy stuff. I should have looked more closely at the picture on the box, which showed what I would see when I opened it up.

It had a gooey “salsa” that tasted like ketchup, very little chicken, and corn, peas and carrots.

Peas and carrots!

On the bright side, I’m glad I tried it so that you don’t have to.

Had the same disappointment, nay disgust, with CJ “Risotto”

Turned out to be a tub of pre-cooked short-grain rice and a sachet of pasta sauce.

I shouldn’t have got my hopes up.
