Just got word that Chef Debbie Lee of Seoul-to-Soul and finalist for Next Food Network Star is getting into the L.A. food truck business with Ahn-Joo, which generally means “pub grub” in Korean. She’ll premiere Ahn-joo on June 18th at the Los Angeles Film Festival at L.A. Live’s Event Deck. The hours will be 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on weekdays and 2.p.m. to 1 a.m. on weekends. She will be there until June 24th.
Then the truck goes on the road, serving food from Tuesdays to Saturdays. You can find out the location on Twitter by following @AhnJooLA.
ZenKimchi got a sneak peek at the menu. Actually, we went to the web site. It includes fan favorites of Chef Lee’s cuisine, such as Bacon Wrapped Rice Cylinders with Jalapeno Ponzu, Korean Nachos (fried rice cakes, smoky chile queso, soy braised pork, kimchi salsa), Korean Fried Chicken with Garlic Glaze and Pickled Daikon, Spicy Chilled Buckwheat Noodles, Modern Mandu, Mama Lee’s Meatloaf (ground rib eye, soy onion demi-glace, crispy shitake mushrooms) and even some good ol’ Kimbap.
Prices range from $3 to $7.
