My friend Chris Wright sent me this. W Seoul Walkerhill has come up with the 180,000 won W “X” burger. It’s Australian Wagyu beef with some big ass lobes of foie gras, black truffles and lobster tail served on a brioche bun.
This whole luxury burger thing started a while back with Daniel Boulud’s DB Burger in France. The Korea Times article linked above said that it signified a trend in the polarization in Korea’s economy. Well, maybe. Usually these things are press-grabbing stunts, and people rarely order them.
Nonetheless, the ZenKimchi Korean Food Journal is accepting donations for a research trip.
That’s a big meal!
Why anyone would want to eat hunks of foie that big is beyond me. And Daniel never had a burger in France. His burger, served with a tasteful amount of foie gras, is served at DB Bistro in NYC and Daniel Boulud Brasserie in Las Vegas.
You’re right. I was recalling an episode of Munchcast, where they said it was in France.
As for me… I guess I’D eat a lobe of foie gras that big. I guess I’d need to order some extra fries for that.
Hi, your blog is nice…I like your blog…

wow – i don’t know if I have that kind of money, but that foie gras looks soooo good!
I’m still lookin’ for people who want to chip in.
comon man! dont show up these things as even i am quite hungry and didn’t have any resource to get me something to eat
I wouldn’t pay for the $60 american kobe burger from the place near me.so I definetly pay $180ish for that. if you’re going to eat that much foie just eat it,doesn’t need to be on a burger
