Pyeongchang

We started in May in Pyeongchang before it was named the host of the 2018 Winter Olympics. This episode actually was meant to help promote it to the Olympic Committee. Since we were at a high elevation, it was still pretty cold there. The first thing we shot was Woljungsa Buddhist temple, where I did a temple stay. That’s my room on the right. Spent the night there and woke up around 3:30 a.m. for services and then did 108 bows in a special room. That’s a workout!

Later we had did the traditional baru eating ceremony, where there were specific ceremonial acts you did when eating a temple meal.
