When I had ramen noodles in America, the only extras I threw in was some occasional Parmesan cheese. I learned that in Korea, you have to put basically a whole salad bar in the pot with the instant noodles package. The result is a tastier, more satisfying and slightly less junky concoction.

Simon and Martina of Eat Your Kimchi have put together a nice instructional video on how to soup up your ramyeon (get it?). I particularly like Martina’s “Nigella moment.”
