Review Summary:

Greek Joy is a little place on the second floor adjacent to the triangular park in Hongdae, where the "kids" like to hang out.  The interior sports clean white and bold blues that evoke a summer on the Mediterranean.  Greek Joy gets a "B+" for effort.  Its food is bright.  Service can get a bit slow, even at 4 in the afternoon.  They have large set menus that can include lamb--the oft sought-after meat by expats on the peninsula.  The souvlaki is disappointing.  Dry and bland and sprinkled with so much dried oregano it was like it was rolled in fish food.  Much of the food suffers from the dependence on dried herbs, taking away the natural brightness incorporated by the simple existence of lemon that is the charm (and sometimes crutch) of Greek food.  The Greek salad doesn't disappoint, and the truly special (and cheap) dish is the gyros.  They're tightly wrapped and smothered in tzatziki, blended from housemade yogurt.  Greek Joy is not a bad spot for a lunch stop.
