Review Summary:

"Come for the Stumptown Coffee; stay for the dangerously delicious pancakes." (Jake R.)

Location: Sinsa
Cuisine: Breakfast, Brunch
Suggested Items: Pancakes, Stumptown Coffee

This was, by far, the best pancake I’ve had in Seoul. It was perfect- not too soft or mushy or grainy or tough, with the optimum balance of maple syrup and butter.
I got the original stack and my fiancée got a Nutella stack (really should’ve been called a Ferrero Rocher stack, because it had a delightful hazelnut crunch to it). They were both amazing.
What caught my eye and brought me in the door, though, was the “Proudly Serving Stumptown Coffee” sign outside. Seoul is a great coffee city, and there are lots of cafes and roasters I love frequenting, but… let’s be real, Stumptown is something special, and it’ll always be my favorite. The Americano was to die for and the hand-drip was even better (to kill for?)
I am definitely going back soon, even though it’s WAY across town, and looking forward to trying everything they’ve got.

The Pancake Epidemic: Come for the Stumptown Coffee; stay for the dangerously delicious pancakes. (Jake R.)

It should be noted that it’s a cafe first and foremost and never actually intended to serve pancakes, only making them available after loads of customers complained about not being able to have pancakes at a place called The ‘Pancake’ Epidemic. That being said, I really enjoyed them and consider them much better than those on offer at Original Pancake House which everyone on here seems to rave about.

The cold brew coffee here is fantastic, totally worth the trip. (David C.)

Objectively I do think these are good pancakes. For the price, I have no complaints. I’m running low on adjectives – fluffy? Not burned. Tastes like pancakes. LOL. I loved the space best of all, and would go just for that.

Subjectively, I don’t like syrup or butter, so ya know. Just a good, simple pancake. Not bad. I honestly would rather have a Starbucks sandwich and americano though ?. (I don’t review anything because I bastardize pretty much everything I order LOL). (Gina K.)
