Hot Dog

(Not actual USO hot dog but sure looks yummy) From http://www.flickr.com/photos/thebusybrain

The beloved USO Canteen near Samgakji is no more, but USO stops still exist in Korea. I’ll admit I don’t know the availability of these USOs to the general public. If anyone has more information please help out in the comments.

USO Osan – Sloppy Joe Thursdays and Chili Tuesdays

Free Sloppy Joes, chips, drinks and more every Thursday.  The 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month also supplies free homemade chili from Center Manager Mark Wood’s secret recipe.

Camp Walker, Daegu – 1¢ Hot Dogs

This happens every Wednesday. A penny gets you a hot dog, chips and soda. Time: 1100-1730.

Camp Humphreys, Pyeongtaek – USO Lunchbox

Each Thursday a new special item (I hear meatball subs) is served free at the USO.

Any more food related military events are welcome. I love finding out all the different types that exist in Korea that most people don’t know about. And I also envy the meatball subs. Contact us.
