I went to the Tteokbokki Festival (oh yeah, they’re calling it “Topokki”) last year and had a good time. There are tteok making classes and competitions. Lots of events. Lots of vendors. And they really raise the bar on the artistic creations one can create with rice dough. This year’s festival happens on May 7-9 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Yangjae Center south of the river. Admission is W2,000 and supposedly is all you can eat. Click here for my pics from last year.
But what I’m really looking forward to is the Chicken Festival. It’ll be May 28-30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at COEX Hall B1. The details are still a bit sketchy, but I do know that it’s free, and it also has free food.
